hey guys! purchased late 2011 mbp (base line 15 inch) in january , rmbp out feel crap! haha. idea of having cd drive, although i've used once since january. don't care not having firewire or ethernet. think better off upgrading mbp 512 crucial m4 ssd , maybe 8gb crucial ram also? upgrade cost 500-600 australian dollars. or better selling , getting rmbp baseline model? wandering or if had thoughts! thanks!   depends how cost swap retina. if it's twice or more, i'd upgrades. might surprised how difference performance ssd , ram make. you're not comparing like though. you're talking price of 512gb ssd base retina has 256gb doesn't it? check that, apple store down...   Forums Macs Notebooks MacBook ...

lately, i've been seeing lot of misinformation on these forums members have no bloody idea they're talking about. time dispel of myths. if think i'm being android fanboy, check previous post history. i've been apple fanboy until got jelly bean on galaxy nexus. anyway, hope mods don't pull thread down immediately. jelly bean still has ui lag. concede applicable ice cream sandwich. however, latest version of android, jelly bean, inclusion of vertical sync (locks max. framerate @ 60 fps, prevents vertical tearing) , triple buffering (eliminates input lag vertical sync) along clever cpu algorithms have eliminated ui lag. says otherwise has never used jelly bean before, , should disregard say. android gets terrible battery life. may have been true in past, superphones htc 1 x , samsung galaxy s iii, along previous generation smartphones including motorola razr maxx , samsung galaxy nexus have largely rendered point moot. newer phones ...

writing uk have today installed ncsettings , have found in notification center can turn on/off 3g , cellular data, thought these same thing?? found if turned 3g off lost network , no service comes in status bar. if turn off cellular data ipad sign in status bar. questions whats differenec between these 2 buttons , there way on ipad turn off 3g before installing ncsettings cannot find one cheers   the way works on iphone (maybe same on ipad), if turn off 3g, revert edge (if carrier supports it). turning off cellular data means turn off edge. thinking carrier doesn't support edge, when turned off 3g, it's doing same thing turning off cellular data.   Forums iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch iPad iPad ...

hi guys, may have posted on sometime ago on reading other similar threads on water damaged no charge issue wonder if possible mine not severe advice on , test if can help? got mac book knowing water damaged (ex demo...overhead flood in shop) - did power on automatically mag connection...keyboard faulty (so power button) - replaced keyboard..reinstalled osx... fantastic... bought new battery didnt charge either. have been using mac while on psu no problems @ all....even found fellow 17" mac owner charge battery via mac...just didnt lose time , wireless settings etc. love have charging again , hoping maybe 1 fuse/resistor fuse has blown? when opened mac found corrosion on various parts of board laptop closed , boxed after water damage....so battery have been live...and possible plugged in @ time if out on shop floor....so, since working apart charging....the battery feeding time , settings (pram?) not turn on battery..only mains? go...
