cellular data and 3G

have today installed ncsettings , have found in notification center can turn on/off 3g , cellular data, thought these same thing??

found if turned 3g off lost network , no service comes in status bar.

if turn off cellular data ipad sign in status bar.

questions whats differenec between these 2 buttons , there way on ipad turn off 3g before installing ncsettings cannot find one

the way works on iphone (maybe same on ipad), if turn off 3g, revert edge (if carrier supports it). turning off cellular data means turn off edge. thinking carrier doesn't support edge, when turned off 3g, it's doing same thing turning off cellular data.

ATV3 5.1 channel ?

no service after redsnow jailbreaking
