first off, wish itunes provided more functionality shared libraries on network drive. here household setup: 2 apple tvs, macbook pro, desktop pc, laptop pc, wireless n , wd book live 2tb network drive (ethernet connection only), iphones , ipod touch. possible setups: 1. on network drive - complete itunes folder , itunes library file stored on network drive. pro: every computer have same files, no conflict in adding new files. con: 1 computer can running itunes @ time. must close 1 itunes before opening on computer. 2. media files on network drive, each computer own library file. pro: run multiple itunes @ same time. con: adding new file isn't recognized on computer. duplicates automatic itunes download purchases. having manually find/add files library added different computer. 3. desktop running time stored on network drive. each computer running separate itunes library , access via home sharing. pro: easy maintain 1 library con: must sync...

i've been trying iphoto sharing feature flickr, , hit annoying problem. when try delete files iphoto save space, iphoto insists on logging on flickr , deleting uploaded. there doesn't appear way tell iphoto stop doing that. when try delete files, iphoto says: "are sure want delete selected items? have been shared , removed flickr." yes, , no! nobody told remove anywhere iphoto! goes in list faces, useless feature has no button turn off. puts these involuntary features software? thing may able hide files iphoto moving them somewhere else on flickr account, , hope iphoto doesn't figure out did. source code iphoto available somewhere? needs trimming!   isn't syncing between iphoto , flickr point of using feature? if is, behavior obvious. de-link iphoto flickr account , won't have problem.   ...

hey guys, alex here. though ordered atv1 few days ago, got chance configure last night. , while totally different experience jailbreaking , configuring atv2, must pleased i've got here. after using usb patch stick 'hack' box, ssh'd device (via terminal) , installed nitotv. once nitotv loaded used "smart installer" install 10.4.9 combo update, afp file sharing support, keyboard/mouse support, , native dvd playback support. once smart installer finished , atv1's finder restarted, g5's shared media folder detected instantly inside nitotv application. mount shared volume inserted account credentials , connected. used .dvdmedia file playback test , things seem working perfect. i'll sync itunes music box via itunes morning, , drop video files via afp afternoon. would sync videos sooner, need sleep haha. stayed night trying make sure doing correctly , had needed, , i'm worn out . recommend media hub anyone...
