Got my ATV1 up and running, love it!

hey guys, alex here. though ordered atv1 few days ago, got chance configure last night. , while totally different experience jailbreaking , configuring atv2, must pleased i've got here.

after using usb patch stick 'hack' box, ssh'd device (via terminal) , installed nitotv. once nitotv loaded used "smart installer" install 10.4.9 combo update, afp file sharing support, keyboard/mouse support, , native dvd playback support.

once smart installer finished , atv1's finder restarted, g5's shared media folder detected instantly inside nitotv application. mount shared volume inserted account credentials , connected. used .dvdmedia file playback test , things seem working perfect.

i'll sync itunes music box via itunes morning, , drop video files via afp afternoon. would sync videos sooner, need sleep haha. stayed night trying make sure doing correctly , had needed, , i'm worn out.

recommend media hub anyone's home. 160gb hard drive, there's plenty of room music , movies, , can install intel applications support mac os tiger (though mileage may vary, not apps work).
