hi everyone. know there tons of people out there have done os upgrade , run permission nightmares. sincerely think "best practices" guide should made outline how best restore personal files after fresh install of os x. have been fighting permissions errors months. mean trackpad settings wouldn't stick, iphoto kept prompting me if want auto-open when connecting camera, couldn't rotate photos in preview because didn't have sufficient privileges files. tried fix these problems via "repair disk permissions," acl fix/repair tool (both lion's recovery mode, , 3rd party apps), manually editing permissions in finder, , myriad of terminal 'chmod' suggestions. seemed each attempt fix 1 or 2 problems, while others persisted. tried wiping , installing leopard (my original os) thinking if went through two-os upgrade process solve issues. i'm usable state, i'm not convinced i'm through this. here r...

guys...i need thoughts. i'm new convert , have picked macbook air (2011, i5 1.7, 128gb ssd). purchased portability, , knew sacrifices making not going mbp. in mind... i've started using garageband (for audio recordings @ work) , mba seems work flawlessly. i've started learn guitar , interested in using garageband or logic pro start recording in month or two. i've read differences in 2 applications significant , felt starting logic pro, rather moving down road, more solid choice. i've had mba little more 3 months. love it. but, going able handle want do? have 1tb external can store loops on (because read 50gb). can record sd card (i heard...). thoughts have appreciated.   i have lp9 on macbook air, (2.13ghz dual core, 4gb ram). run off ssd, , it's great. haven't done intensive, runs demo song fine though uses quite complex aspects of program....
