i got first kernel panic error near end of may. restarted , seemed normal couple days. on may 30 got 3 kernel panic errors. after each of first 2 rebooted in safe mode, rebooted , computer operated few hours. after last 1 wouldn't boot @ all. hear (the drives) start spinning , little light came on front, after few seconds (the drives) stop spinning, light go out. few seconds later process repeat. let continue few minutes before unplugging power , letting battery drain. wife took in apple store checked out couple weeks later. said plugged in 1 of power adapters , booted on first try after few seconds of charging. end of troubleshooting..they told charge battery... tried boot when came home, using 2 different power adapters (both less year old) had same results before taking in. use both power adapters on our other older macbook, no apparent side-effects. haven't had time take in again , try on theirs again..... suggestions? can't ...

hey guys, upgraded late 2008 15" mbp 128gb crucial ssd, moving 500gb hdd adapter in place of optical drive. arrangement have itunes media files saved hdd, itunes performing poorly , hangs, no beach ball, frozen 60 seconds, coming back. includes simple tasks such playing track, stop , become unresponsive time, come right back. tied accessing files off of hard drive in secondary position, have insight on how can resolve these issues? have done usual checks of verifying hdd health , repairing permissions on both drives. in advance , input.   you may want check firmware on ssd. recall there being issues crucial m4s hanging on resolved updating firmware. there isn't reason setup shouldn't work way.   Forums Macs Notebooks M...

hi, thinking buying 2012 macbook pro in 15 inch non-retina incarnation. want 2.6ghz 3720qm cpu (at least) because upgrade graphics memory 1gb (which cannot upgraded after purchase , might trouble me when running thunderbolt display , 3d). far can see, differences between 3720qm , 3820qm (the 2.7ghz option whopping 270 euros) 100mhz higher frequency (both on stock , on turbo frequency) plus 2mb larger third level cache. there more differences on cpu? upgrade 2.6 2.7ghz imply more changes on macbook? assume upgrade not worth money unless hefty processing (which dont do)? pros/cons or can safely safe 270 bucks? nderstand highest-end model pay more, mor in relation. on other hand, high end 2010 mbp 2.66 i7 8gb still well-suited daily work , understand 270 small fraction of complete purchase... doing system administration, programming (java/xcode/web), vm, web research , whole bunch of what-you-do-with-a-computer (aperture, final cut,...). help! ...
