get. mean?

----------

problem solved typing sudo chmod +x "/applications/monopoly.app/contents/macos/monopoly"

why have new question?

are using unarchiver? known bug in how sets quarantine flag new downloads. don't recall if bug in lion or in unarchiver, though. if use apple's built in compression tools, bug not pop up.

when happens, yes chmod trick work. can force quit app in dock (which won't stop bouncing) , click on it. go away. re-launch app , fine. bs may have been hearing "corrupted user accounts" , "reinstall lion" , "oh have virus or bad driver" that, bs. not have reboot or boot osx install cd, or else takes more 1.3 seconds complete. minor thing once understand mechanics @ play here.

i'm frustrated crybabies on various forums whine @ first sign of trouble , spend hours googling instead of getting hands dirty trying figure stuff out. how think "better @ computers" anyway? once you're "better @ computers" stuff doesn't happen because know how work around it. "wah! i'm going sue apple because given seizure staring @ bouncing, wah!" f them.

sorry ranting - anyway, kudos coming workaround of own instead of bitching cold. :)
