i have been programming in c++ last 3 years @ school .. know basic pop concepts , have little knowledge in core java.
have idea of great app bit don't know start.
have watched 2 episodes of stanford iphone development think instructor going fast , lost way
please suggest me start??
you might want sign apple's dev account. full access wwdc. 2012 out , if watch modern object c , other "developer tools" videos, you'll lot of insight tools , do.
reason suggesting c++ gaining more , more support compiler.
usual path has been learn objc, xcode, ios, apis, , start writing sample code , read books.
can dig right dev account , watch wwdc , install xcode, buy few books , jump right in. big nerd ranch has book on objc.
might want watch wwdc2012 1st because things changing. arc pretty standard now, can skip on older memory retain/release many books cover. arc 1 example of changes, getting new book / tutorial can important.
might seem confusing @ 1st, books cover reference counting, learn it's automatic(arc) don't have learn it...
taking time find things stand, can save bunch of time learning things being replaced.
dev accounts cost $99/yr it's cost of lunch each month.
check dates of books/blogs/tutorials, tend out dated quick.
