identifying smd component on logic board?

hello all,

trying repair a1181 2009 macbook has suffered liquid spill. before cleaning 99% isopropyl, logic board power cpu fan , front led failed post, thought outlook pretty once cleaned up. however, during cleaning process, despite being gentle soft brush 1 of components on board brushed off , lost. when connected power source, magsafe light flickers green / orange (even no battery connected) , not spin fan or front led.

have obtained working board same model reference don't have access schematics, , if did don't understand how read them (it have different processor however, working 1 2.13 , broken 1 2.0, both 2009 5,2 models layout of board looks same , think components identical, cpu excepting).

have tested component on working board smd tweezers in auto-detect mode, suggest 3.44nf - though i'm new component level repair don't know whether can trusted, or means other thinks capacitor? correct? , please understands explain component need buy replace missing one? think 0402 size smd, other don't know begin?

yes, meter indicates 3.44 nf (or close) capacitor. "0402" measure of package size. can measure , compare chart on wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/surface-mount_technology#packages) see need.
