Apple Removes Links to Messages Beta for OS X Lion, Still Available via Direct Link

apple has not removed download entirely, however, still accessible via direct download (63.8 mb). unknown how long apple continue hosting download, text strings found within app earlier year suggest app expire once os x mountain lion released , messages mountain lion exclusive.




apple announced yesterday os x mountain lion launch in july , priced @ $19.99 through mac app store. users of snow leopard , lion able upgrade mountain lion same price.

users of messages beta lion have complained of number of issues including crashes , problems syncing across devices, failure send, , disappearing messages. many have been hoping update address of these issues, appears apple focusing messages efforts on final version plans include os x mountain lion.

after using messages beta week, ended uninstalling it. kept getting red badge "1" on dock icon wouldn't go away.
