got first mac, retina macbook pro , have few odd questions need with. go military academy , network there not mac friendly @ all. have issued fujitsu t730 laptop has windows 7 , of engineering software , programs use classes. background questions, way network works access school websites, email , military sites have use smart card chip in read express card reader built fujitsu laptop reads certificates off card , authenticate them pin number. in our academic building, access wireless network have have smart card inserted , asked pin authenticate , connect network.*
hope windows , programs installed on macbook pro via bootcamp can ditch fujitsu laptop , can done through computer desk, me. questions pertain network connection can run mac , windows side side @ same time via parallels or vmware fusion
1. how should partition bootcamp? need install lot of security, , programs such matlab, mathematica, , mathcad on windows. have 256gb rmbp.*
2. should parallels or fusion. 1 of them allow more options networking.*
3. biggest issue me of all. if i'm running bootcamp install of windows 7 under virtual machine inside os x have been told can't use virtual machine connect school network. if able connect in virtual machine network, there way share internet connection non-virtualized os x? bridge connection windows 7 virtual machine os x.*
help!
don't know virtualisation, imagine not bootcamp os isolated when you're running osx. maybe.
1 thing remember, though, osx has full read-write access bootcamp partition separate drive. windows 7 in bootcamp, however, can read osx drive not write it. might want make bigger bootcamp partition first thought, , store things on it, data use in osx. in effect, make 'main' computer bootcamp drive , leave osx partition big enough boot , run osx.
