How much the screen in RMBP is worth and opinions

hi all,

waiting 2.6/16/512 rmbp arrive (scheduled july 4), have started having second thoughts money apple charges laptop (and of course agreed pay - second thoughts about).

so, me living in canada, things this.

retina pro 2.6/16/512gb sales tax came out @ cdn$3422

spent last 11 days waiting laptop , started becoming more financially conscious thought this:

mbp non-retina mid-2012:

high end: 2.6ghz, hi-res antiglare (must me) comes out @ cdn$2631
comes 750 5400rpm.
prices samsung 830 256gb right here cdn$300 (sales tax included).

total $2931.

$500 less you:

lose retina, 512-256 = 256 flash , 16-8=8 gb ram, of course form factor
gain 750gb storage, (maybe piece of mind due tried design)

thought fuss of carrying external me (the 750gb). turns out data doubler owc 70-80.

let's cdn$3000.

3000 non-retina 8gb, 256 same flash (samsung 830), second drive 750gb, no optical drive, tried design, same cpu, same gpu

430 buys me retina, 8 more ram, 256 more flash less 750 second drive bringing total 512 instead of 1tb, new design.

tempted cancelling retina , getting other one, saving 430 in process , of course not having wait more 2-3 days rather 2 weeks.

thoughts on ?

 

if consider anti-glare must, go regular mbp.
