Usb 3.0 mbp

hi, purchased base 13-inch macbook pro usb 3.0 support.

i, in turn upgraded external hard drive enclosure usb 3.0 (this particular model http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cpath=14_202&item_id=042850).

however, i'm still getting usb 2.0 speeds (30-35 mb/s). expecting data transfers @ least somewhere in 100 mb/s range.

hard drive 5400 rpm/sata/60 gb original white macbook 5 years ago. usb 2.0-ish speeds related me using such aged hard drive?

very few hard drives can ever hit 100mb/s sustained (pretty modern, high capacity, , high rotation speed ones), , not 5400rpm laptop drives 5 years ago. yes, being bandwidth limited drive. if put ssd in enclosure, you'd see higher speeds.
