i using eyetv movies want keep 24" imac. far had open eyetv export 422 pro res hq open in final cut pro x, strip out commercials, burn blu ray disc, stick in blu ray player , worked fine. blu ray burner conked out on me. until can afford replacement trying burn avchd discs since bit rates lower. max bit rage avchd 15. if trying burn blu ray , point final cut pro x @ standard dvd burner via share, defaults should bit rate correct avchd. when tried, got error message said bit rate beyond max allowed. (i believe, don't know sure final cut pro x uses max bit rate of 17 when trying burn avchd)
if send video compressor can lower bit rate max of 15 , and average of 13 , should work. testing theory. if works, there way final cut pro x default custom compressor setting when trying burn disc?
sorry long winded question, , in advance.
i can't question, other saying can duplicate profiles in compressor , make changes duplicate suit own needs. think work you.
also, since state cost concern, i'll point out render video
tv3 , store on external hard drive.
tv 3 cost around price of low-end bd player , you'll save money vs. cost of buying blank bd disc each time want store movie. obviously, have "the rest" (a computer capable of running itunes).
potential workflow option render pro res doing , using free handbrake compress files down small file compatible
tv3. i've done bunch of hd1080 video files , works great. purchased compressor thinking use lot find didn't need kind of purpose. since successful @ rendering big pro res file, should easy run through handbrake generate
tv file. unless need videos on blu-ray discs reason, might cheaper- , potentially better- option (also considering
tv bunch of other nice things too).
note there avchd camcorders available shoot @ 28mbps (since last year+), don't know why speed limit seeing hard cap.
