iPhone Warranty Confusion?

hi everyone,

so, around last december, dropped iphone 4s , screen cracked. know accidental damage not covered limited warranty provided iphone (i didn't buy applecare+) , i've been using phone is, cracked screen. 3 days ago, power/lock button on top of iphone stopped working, no clicky sound , iphone unresponsive. curious see if warranty still covered this, though front screen cracked. went apple website, , spoke several different apple representatives. after talking 8 of them, 7 of them told me iphone still protected under warranty against manufacturing faults such failure of lock/power button, , other 1 referred me tech support.

so, feeling pretty confident, headed apple store , talked mediator person in between rest of store , genius bar. guy there told me it'd 199$, without looking @ iphone. explained him manufacturing fault, , how had talked sales representatives online , how had said differently. dismissed , said irrelevant.

so, disappointed, headed home, , decided ask online sales representatives again. when related them experience @ store, of 2 different people asked, both said bad experience providing bad customer service; both thought phone should replaced free. both recommended save conversations , call applecare.

so, next morning, called applecare, weren't helpful @ all. lady on phone kept telling me needed pay applecare+ before call them , wouldn't answer of questions. headed apple store , related story mediator guy (a different one). said if sales reps online had said phone replaced free, go online , iphone replaced applecare. steps should take iphone replaced? i'm not sure if should call applecare again, or if there's way email @ apple?

kind of long...sorry :p in advance :d

yes it's fault, yes under warranty. you've got accidental damage overides of , mean have pay replacement, warranty same before u cracked it.

won't swaps or repairs while it's that.
