i know none of official details released either of these lets go off rumors far
(and i'm sorry ahead of time of these questions, haven't found updated photographer 1 , sorry long read)
use current 2008 macbook pro photoshop, coding, school, gaming (diablo 3, skyrim)
since december, i've been contemplating on whether 27" imac best processor , hard drive space can buy, buying 32gb of memory, since new imac's can utilize 32gb in 64 bit mode, different site , run os + photoshop off high amount of memory. or buy lowest level macpro (or mid if wait) , max amount of ram photoshop can utilize it.
2-3 photoshoots week , in free time play skyrim (in bootcamp) or diablo 3, in lowest settings. photoshop takes 4 minutes in photoshop tests.
compared numbers people's i7 sandy bridge imac's in thread: click me
, <20 seconds people amazes me
needless say, thing killing me. have 27" apple cinema love editing photo's on, if imac have dual monitors nice. of threads have seen go macpro photography, amount of increased price , times seeing on sandy bridge i7's (i know still pre-new mp's) puts me off little. makes me think macpro may overpowered need , ok latest , greatest imac.
overall question is, ok new imac 27" 4-5 years doing? (my apple products seem last 4-5 years until update again) ? have canon 5d2 work images pretty large , may upgrade 5d3 next year. if can't run skyrim or diablo 3 on high ok, long can away low settings nice lol. (new nvidia graphics card may this?)
thank taking time read , helping me out!
apple products seem have nice, long lifespan. wife still happy 2007 imac 24". lot of video conferencing, photoshop, , internet stuff it.
if you're doing basic retouching of photos in photoshop, , you're not production graphic designer, new imac should last 5 years if not more.
gaming story. games seem increase in complexity fast 2-year-old pc needs upgrades run "latest , greatest" games. might want have 2 computers: 1 work , 1 games. cheap, upgradable pc games , stick high-end imac photography (so better screen).
