More College Buying Advice

hey everyone,

apologize adding "what should buy" posts, i'm on fence 1 of decisions.

might little nitpicky, apologies in advance. i've set mind on 13-inch mbp college beginning fall, that's thing fits budget. it'll first personal mac. :)

primary concern can't decide whether want 13-inch 2.5/3.1 ghz i5 or 2.9/3.6 ghz i7. there noticeable performance difference between two? know getting 8 gb of ram regardless.

use family mbp web browsing, listening music, lots of iphoto/imovie creating , editing, , occasional skype.

i5 model comes out $1189 configured 8 gb of ram, while i7 model $1389. $200 difference warranted in performance between 2 processors?

also, ssd make difference? i5 model + ssd comes out $1639, expensive configuration.

thank in advance!

from told going do, stick basics, i.e. i5 , no ssd option.

reason being base model provided more enough trying do, in case down road need school-related software can still handle quite well.

better efficiency overall means doesn't require lot of hardware power achieve need, unlike os ;)
