okay know many of guys getting sick of i5 vs i7 threads not i'm not making 1 of those, own questions related processors, so..
deciding on whether air 13"/8gb/256gb/i5 or i7... plan on using primary computer. apart basic things browsing web, listening music, watching videos/movies (quite great amount of it), don't processor intensive things video editing or intensive gaming. base on needs, think should fine air around 4 years proper care , use, right?
here's problem, might want rip movies disc , unzipping (i know need superdrive, can use external 1 since don't frequently, ignore space might need, think can handle that). 2 things more processor intensive things might need rarely.
1) can air still handle that? should i7 faster , better performance these activities?
2)will i7 affect heat output , how affect battery performance? (if knows..)
3)i might wanting download quite number of movies large file size. air should able fine, right? mean it's internet connection determines speed, if use pro 15" same internet connection, still download same file @ same speed?
the difference between i5 , i7 should not in way night , day. they're both dual core ivy bridge chips multiplier bins of difference. (there's 1mb l3 cache difference too, it's not game-changing factor architecture)
that's not i7 wouldn't complete tasks faster, hard find scenario difference crucial if can task ease or not.
