here things wish mountain lion include, resolve, put right....
- imac (specifically portable ones) aware when there no network, hence avoiding indefinite latency web services (particularly visible in mail, calendars, etc)
- progress bars used wherever needed, user gets cue of happening (ie backup of address book has no progress bar)
- "re-open last" windows option put sense. allows absurdities such re-opening file has been placed in trash can.
- when doing zip of many files, plausibility check of available diskspace made before doing "preparing" tasks. there high propbability "preparing" useful.
- users can opt out in single preference "on mac" calendars , address books. (i mean cloud heck local device specific calendar for?)
- specific settings cross-application carried forwards. if change download folder, applications use download folder follow suit
- when there multiple paths between 2 macs transfer file (ie wifi, cable, etc.), failure of active connection should not interrupt file transfer switches alternate connection
- timemachine alerts when disk backing failing. if disk utility can show failing disk in red, timemachine should use information
- print drivers available machines easy download, without need have printer connected internet (or mac conected internet).
- notion of users apple id clarified. have @me.com, @icloud.com, personal email, etc. etc. apple id. want osx merge these me 1.
- decision made on whether applications functions in edit menu or in cogwheel menu (such delete rss feed (mail cogwheel menu), delete group (calendar edit menu)). throughout osx applications.
- progress of synchronization can viewed in osx, in mail (cmd-0) should case in iphoto, calendar, address book, etc..
- ordering features files can set preferred setting folders
definitely see this, hate "on mac" in particular sync using exchange , icloud.
