[GUIDE] Creating a **good** Mountain Lion USB


this method allows create usb allows quick installation , clean installs.

this method provide "classic" osx installer, disk utility , whatnot available before starting install. installation lot faster.

*download installer app store.

*right-click installer -> "show package contents"

*contents -> shared support -> installesd.dmg (open it/mount it)

*open terminal , copy command:

*now open diskutility , "restore" basesystem.dmg usb drive.

***please note requires usb has guid partition table***

[restoring dmg]
[​img]

*now open newly restored usb drive

[​img]

*system -> installation

[​img]

*delete link called "packages" , create new folder same name

[​img]

[​img]

*open terminal again , copy it:

*copy in folder "packages" folder created on usb.

**note stage might take while**

hurray have working installer!
