My Book Essential WD Software required?

do need have wd software use book essential 2tb external hard drive? because when plugged in formatted work mac , wiped out , didnt install software. drag files on drive anyway. id rather work drive manually time. need software?
 

you don't need use drive. recall, free software includes backup software , drive manager. drive work fine without it.

ATV3 5.1 channel ?

no service after redsnow jailbreaking
