hi,
have old white macbook, 2006 model, 2.0 intel core 2 duo, 2gb ram , 80gb hd.
since got ipad when first came out have not used much, , when use i'm frustrated @ how slow is, i'm wondering if worth upgrading hd ssd make faster , more responsive.
@ moment use basic things, web browsing, email, i'd use photoshop , lightroom, slow.
battery has failed (probably because i've hardly used 2 years), i'm considering if worth investing in new one, or calling day , getting new 13" mba.
dilemma if should buy ssd , new battery old mb, or put money towards mba, wondering if had done ssd upgrade , comment on how faster , usable after upgrade, also, running ps cs5 , lr4 on such machine, i'm thinking 2gb of ram going hinder using such apps (i think mb ram maxed out @ 2gb)
know nobody can make decision me, interested hear thoughts.

my old mac mini has lesser specs macbook (1.83 core2duo) put in 60gb owc ssd , brought life. upgraded 3gb memory.
yeah, extend lifespan of macbook small ssd , 4gb memory; if it's primary computer, may not worth it. secondary computer, fine. old mini in wife's office, , has no complaints speed, it's way faster old hp desktop replaced.
battery-- have original macbook core duo chip. ram maxed out @ 2gb. did new battery-- system easier sell. can cheap battery off amazon or ebay seems there's lot of complaints fit.
forked out $99 nupower battery macsales; perfect fit , higher capacity oem battery had when new.
haven't put sale yet should able more runs on battery power.
