iCloud Lost my Calendar
im posting rant, wife , kids tbh not care long fix it. somehow deleted home calendar, have go , add of stuff in, real pain.
messing around icloud , somehow did this. created archive of calendar on imac before started messing around when import nothing comes in.
crap, crap crap.

hang on... not lost. went through same thing , here need calendar back.
problem using "archive" backup version have ical cannot restore ical calendar using icloud. import it, calendar appears split second later icloud syncs disappears. import calendar ical icloud needs in .ics file format. when click file menu , see export option want top choice says "export..." not 1 below says "ical archive..."
here need convert export... .ics version.
go icloud settings in system prefs , turn off icloud calendar syncing. start ical , in import menu import ical archive file have. should have calendar , should not disappear since icloud sync off. go ical file menu , select export , "export..." option. name , save file.
turn icloud calendar sync on. calendar disappear again. in ical file menu select "new calendar" create new calendar on icloud (not on mac). no go ical file menu , import/import... select .ics file created above paragraph. when asked import have import new icloud calendar made.
should import calendar icloud , stick in ical , sync across devices.
