Drupal Based Site Multi-Language Advice Needed

my website drupal (7) based. add spanish language content, in san diego , there large potential market. gather, there seems several options:
1) install modules create spanish based versions of pages, appropriate ones loading based on language settings of user/page viewer
2) create 1 page in spanish, there link homepage... titled "en espanol" or "espanol", containing summed gist of site (and order web form)... potential spanish speaking customer put keyword pull subpage in search results.

option 1 seems more advanced , impressive, have doubts ability install , set ok.

advice?

i've done multilanguage site in drupal 6(though believe still same in drupal 7 versions). went pretty first option, believe best way handle multi language sites. other thing modules important add language switcher block, user wouldn't need account on site change language, clicking language switcher take them spanish version of page on , keep them on spanish side until click english.

if know you're doing in drupal, pretty easy set up. use internationalization(i18n) module.
