i have 2008 imac 2.8 c2d hit final possible upgrade on- picked intel 330 120gb ssd $90 after rebate. pulled 1tb drive out , put in external fw800 box.
cloned/etc , system seems run fine, snappy, not quite dramatic first ssd experience (2010 mba) fasts non-the-less.
benchmarks, however, not expected them sataii drive, max through-put right around saw 1tb seagate. checked out system profile, turns out sata port speed negotiated @ satai vice sataii speeds. drive sataiii.
did forum/internet searches , seems not uncommon. new ssd , install in hopes of connecting @ sataii or live it, guess of ssd benefit iops/seek time based , saturate satai port normal use...
been in same boat? thanks!
many sata speeds sata ii drives. problem not unique .
long clones suffer 120gb clone max. iops more important. let me thread on issue
not thread want imac had issue
