Airport Express Setup Question

i'm buy new airport express, before want make sure want. have g devices , isolate them n devices since understanding if run g , n devices on same wireless network not run @ fastest n speeds.

main router needs in corner of house b/c that's fios internet connection is. in contrast, airport express more centralized , better placed reach devices throughout house. g devices within range of linksys , propose have g devices connect linksys router , connect airport express via ethernet port on router , have n devices connect airport express (i'm pretty sure need set airport express in bridge mode , have "create new wireless network").

want make sure i'm getting maximum wireless speeds. if set described, there degradation in wireless speeds compared having n devices connect directly linksys? there better setup should considering? i'd appreciate thoughts , advice.

it's automatic dual band, giving best of both worlds.
