How much power does my iMac draw when display is off?

i know how costs have imac stay turned on 24/7 display turned off? 2011 3.4ghz 240gb ssd 27" imac. access photos/files/movies stored on imac via ipad that's why leave display on imac turned off, rest of computer still active.

how watts consume? i'd imagine bit more usual because 3.4ghz cpu running @ 3.4ghz? or there way put cpu in lower frequency sleep mode? thinking ssd draws less power traditional mechanical drive?

thinking leaving imac on 24/7 better "shocking" system turning on , off few times in day? worried capacitors or power supply might worn down unnecessarily turning on , off.

thanks.

my guess around 50w or less. ssd use less power hdd, talking few watts difference here, hardly worth mentioning.

maybe more interesting you: imac supports wake on lan/wlan. means, can send computer sleep automatically wake when ipad wants access data (and go sleep thereafter).
