okay, know question must exist somewhere, can't seem come right google query, here goes....
i'll start saying admit totally unbelievable story, feel free come own theories, it's true:
came home today lady picking cans in ditch in front of house (i live outside of town , people litter on way to/from lake). told had bunch of cans have , had come house. gave $30 worth of cans, , pulls out looked iphone 4 or 4s , asks if mine. said found in ditch , thought might have dropped it. well, wasn't mine, guess since nice cans, gave me. seriously.
so, bring phone in house , plug in, , though it's been raining, turns on! problem is, screen locked, , short of dfu restore, don't know how unlock it. love able return phone rightful owner (and yes, part of me curious see if can it). know go "easy" way , take apple store or at&t, if somehow "break in" or read of contact's phone numbers might able figure out belongs to.
have no idea os installed (although double-clicking home button not reveal camera, i'm guessing pre-5), , believe trying ssh wrong tool can destroy it.
there kind of tool can use phone's filesystem and/or view contents? if files encrypted it's hopeless, if aren't, maybe i'll have luck.
sorry if re-post, other questions seem people have synced computers , can restore last backup. isn't phone don't have data except what's on phone itself.
in advance!
i'm going track thread , come later read amazing responses. best of luck.
