iPhone 4 Unlocking Tips

hey guys i'm looking buy iphone 4 on craigslist , one's in price range aren't unlocked , updated 5.1 or 5.0.1 , i'm looking ways around this.

i've been reading how can legitimately unlocked in at&t store, how go if it's not name on contract iphone? tips using at&t route? not sure avenue... work new update?

also, i've been doing research , wondering if, when new iphone, downgrading 4.x.x work 3gs? wouldn't have blobs saved or anything, there way use custom ipsw ios4 change baseband/make phone unlockable via ultrasn0w?

you cannot downgrade iphone firmware ios4 or ios5 without saved hashes.
can never downgrade baseband.
at&t imei unlocks existing customers , phone not in current contract (or purchaser skipped out/defaulted on at&t contract). careful buy.
