welcome new installment of werewolf game: mrville - colony. below rules , role descriptions used in game. please read through them , ask questions if unclear.
roles
good guys
tech - tech can scan 1 alive player each night reveal his/her exact role in game. tech scans cannot revealed until next day. (aka seer)
medical examiner - me can scan 1 dead player each night reveal his/her exact role in game. me scans cannot revealed until next day. (aka undertaker)
hero - hero can pick player protect every night against metamorphus attacks. however, hero cannot protect same player 2 nights in row, , cannot protect him/herself. protection extend daytime, meaning hero can protect villager kamikaze metamorphus attack. protection effective against infection. immune 1 metamorphus attack or infection. can killed if attacked again (or attacked after failed infection attempt). (aka guard)
weapons specialist - weapons specialist can instantly kill player of his/her choosing. ability can used once during game, , effective against metamorphi or villagers. using insta-kill ability reveal ws's identity village. immune 1 metamorphus attack or infection. can killed if attacked again (or attacked after failed infection attempt). (aka werewolf hunter)
doctor - doctor can choose 1 player revive during game. upon use of revival doctor's identity revealed village. (aka mystic)
sneak - sneak can pm gg each night request know target of special or wolves. example, sneak might request see tech scanned. gg respond name of player scanned tech night. if target dead or did not act gg there no action night. regular night actions eligible reveal (tech scan, ws protection, ww dinner). sneak cannot follow same action 2 nights in row, specialist cannot protect same person 2 times in row.
the circle- circle consists of 2 regular colonists able pm each other. not immune attack or infection, , have no responsibility report gg. discuss solely them. may recruit 1 other member group via pm gg. (aka neighborhood watch)
colonists - players neither special roles above nor metamorphi. (aka villagers)
bad guys
alpha metamorphus - alpha metamorphus can choose 1 player infect during game. infected player becomes part of metamorphi. there 1 infection attempt. alpha metamorphus responsible pming gg metamorphis choice of dinner each night unless otherwise pre-arranged.
kamikaze metamorphus - kamikaze metamorphus has ability pick 1 villager kill during lynching. in other words, if s/he voted hanged, s/he take 1 villager him/her.
infected metamorphus - infected metamorphus result of successful infection attempt alpha metamorphus. infected metamorphus not have , special abilities.
the carrier - carrier starts game normal colonist turns metamorphus if pack tries eat him/her. game god knows carrier is. seer can scan carrier , guard can protect carrier other player. carrier can lynched regular villager.
rules
a) colonists can not pm each other. (exception: circle)
b) metamorphi can pm amongst themselves.
c) players can edit posts while game in progress. however, if edit post, must give explanation of why/what edited. preferable use strike tags strike out rather remove text.
d) dead players can not participate in game strategy or play. while not banned posting asked keep volume of posts within reason , use silver text other players may ignore or acknowledge them please. if players posting becomes excessive asked leave thread until game ends. key not interrupt integrity of game itself.
e) game use majority vote lock , deadline combination. voting lynching close 24 hours after day has started. days majority lock posted each narrative. night actions deadline half of daytime. in event of tie, first person number of votes lynched.
f) voting can take place in daytime. votes made during night not counted.
g) clarity, when vote, bold name of player you're voting for. alleviates confusion , makes easier me count votes. can play - "i bob, he's great guy" counts vote bob can jokingly vote not bolding name - not counted.
h) can retract , change vote @ time close of vote.
i) if not vote @ 2 days (not consecutive) "lost in woods" , removed game. role in game not revealed upon removal. "no vote" count towards after first "no vote", free. so, possible removed game after total of 3 no votes. no votes count against when final vote @ end of day.
j) game begin @ daytime. players notified via pm when game starting.
k) post special results online , have them all. thus, highly recommended set profile invisible mode other posters cannot view login activity see if online in period between lynching , special results.
l) each player limited 2 "no vote"s. registered vote no one. different "no lynch" vote. encourage participation , accountability. counts against lost in woods rule after first "no vote".
m) order of night actions:
i) tech/medical examiner scans;
ii) hero protects;
iii) metamorphi attack;
iv) sneak spys.
n) each player should pm top 2 choices special roles. people entered pool selected roles chosen @ random, normal. can request not have special role (colonist). if pm roles, not considered special roles other ones list. players considered bad guy roles regardless of preference. if not send pm, considered roles. reply via pm if need clarification or if roles list changes.
o) player considered dead majority reached or voting deadline hits. normal posting restrictions dead players apply. if dead person killed instakill pm, person second in line lynched , deadline not move.

rules change log:

notes
not maintain voting record or narrative list. ask players provide if want them. can , link them in op if desired.
i've renamed many of roles match theme of narratives plan write, in futuristic, sci-fi setting. game functionally identical previous games.
i sci-fi! have find new avi appropriate - faith apparently had better things protect previous village.
