Using a Windows Keyboard on Mac

does find odd or difficult use windows keyboard on mac. plan on getting mini when new ones come out, , wondered if difficult use windows keyboard @ all. example eject key. keyboard using hp elite keyboard.

 

not difficult @ all. weird thing relative position of modifier keys (opt/cmd) change, iirc, can modify in system preferences if muscle memory demands do--i know did.

address specific concern, can use f12 key eject, or during startup can hold down (left) mouse button.

miss having volume , playback keys on keyboard. they're available on pc keyboards not 1 i'm using mac mini. when available, i've found @ least volume buttons work fine. think playback keys well, don't have keyboard test with. on basic keyboard, i've recovered playback keys (at expense of function keys) workaround program keyremap4macbook, won't need go far.

additionally, you'll missing expose/dashboard/mission control , whatnot keys, can enable older function-key shortcuts in system preferences pane work if aren't already.

think covers things. basically, you'll fine--though if miss old comforts, can change them in system preferences. in extreme cases, other software may help.
