hey
wondering advice... have 3.4 imac incredibly fast apart weak point of hard drive being standard 1tb affair... wondering if help...
not keen spend £599 on thunderbolt drive obvious reasons , equally not keen on ripping machine apart fit internal drive , came out think cunning idea...
intend is... have thunderbolt cable , seagate goflex desktop adaptor on way....
use of blutac putty... etc... stability thinking can half price make thunderbolt drive... thinking crucial m4 512ssd...
thought if instead 256 in years time can same set again , raid them make faster , bigger , each year build up...
way can spread out massive cost , reduce it... imac , have drives on shelf under desk not touched ever...
big question have m4 goflex , therefore should go little cheaper or guys advise different...
whats best software moving boot drive (i have main storage on nas) 180gb become smaller later new drive...
final question next year , beyond advise stable way of taking data off storage raiding new drive , putting on!!!!?
crucial m4 pretty cheapest reliable ssd in market, it's 1 get.
can use e.g. carbon copy cloner cloning internal drive ssd.
