new to Mac world

hey guys,

still waiting rmbp order status change ugly "processing" else.
meanwhile had couple of questions regarding mac os first ever mac after 15 years of windows use.
used creating primary partition in windows c use os , installed programmes only, , creating drive d saving photos/music/videos etc. not lose data in case of windows crashing or similar issue or if need fresh install os donot have copy again.
now, question need same in osx ? or fine 1 drive, because pains me when have build computer scratch.
how guys manage macs when comes disc drives , partitions. might installing windows know have create separate partition primary concern managing os , data separately.

recommend research 1 of apple's greatest osx apps called time machine.

awesome backup programs much. if have external hard drive, 1 of first things you'll want setup.

in terms of separate partitions on main drive data protection. imho, not idea.

trust me, you'll love time machine.
