Macbook pro 13'' or retina Macbook pro 15''

hi all,

i'm graphic design student. i'm studying online potability isn't important still important. need buy new laptop. so, i'm considering macbook. first macbook. can't decide between $1199 13'' pro , 15'' retina. don't want non-retina 15' because there isn't huge different on price retina 1 , because of weight. have 21' external screen @ home. so, i'll use macbook whatever if 13' or 15'. 1 thing confusing me price , performance of macbooks.
please me answering these questions:

13'' macbook pro $1199 ($1099 student discount)
- comfortable work on 13'' screen without external screen? don't travel when travel, i'll had work on 13''.
- how performance of 13'' when working on large photoshop file , when working on multiple cs programs @ same time?
- there over-heating problem 13''?
- how retina display 13'' when arriving? right time buy normal 13'' , not waiting retina?

15'' retina display macbook pro $2199 ($1999 student discount)
- worth much?
- 15'' necessary graphic designer?

it's easy buy computer not powerful enough, difficult buy computer that's powerful.

mean over-buy computer you're going purchase. way functional longer when more , more powerful software comes along.

if have funds, retina 15" macbook pro. screen real estate valuable in graphic design. retina's more powerful cpu , gpu means future-proof purchase.
