my work gave me white iphone 4s , don't know how many people had before me.
personal phone black iphone 4s.
on white phone, front glass has lip way around edge.
if run fingernail down screen can feel catch on raised lip before gets edge.
on black phone there no lip , fingernail slides right off edge of glass without catching. if has slight bevel or dropoff rather raised edge.
normal?
difference in part suppliers?
did apple make change somewhere during production life?
or possible have aftermarket glass got installed somewhere along way?
i going go "aftermarket glass" , wager $999 ran fingernail off side of black 4s , came conclusion mine "catches" speak. have screen protector on (but still have mm or between edge , screen protector) , have otterbox commuter case on never see/feel edges. peeling case , running fingernail off of side between screen protector , edge of glass gets hung second on appear small "lip" or possibly opposite, depression.
more @ it, think it's getting caught on small gap between glass , whatever surrounds it. don't think it's "lip" or raised portion of glass. guess variance in height has amount of adhesive use and/or pressure used press glass face on and/or how adhesive dries (i.e. shrink down causing fraction of (a small unit of measurement) of depression or expand tad forcing piece (and fingernail slides off of side freely).
can't belive gave thought/effort...
