hi all
took 2009 macbook 2.13 ghz local apple authorized service center intermittent power issues. whilst there have front cracked top case , keyboard replaced (it seccumb common splitting problem).
have diagnosed power problem top case switch has started shorting out due fluid damage.
question is: should service centre replace top case anyway has seccumb issue covered extended warranty problem (cracking around front of top case)? has been diagnosed problem invalidates warrany, , means owner paying replacement costs?
argument top case had failed , in need replacement. should pay fluid damage invalidates warranty. haven't spoken apple yet, thats next course of action. replacement isn't extortionate given price of part (around £100 , £50 fit it).

technically, store correct: spilling water on voids warranty. no warranty = no free repairs.
try couple of things:
1) begging. nicely desperately, ask them replace top case because broken (apple has been doing out of warranty anyway).
2) deny!!! tell them never spilled water on it. demand fix case because apple covers cost.
3) take somewhere else , hope replace top case.
