How to not sync a group from address book to iCloud?

so got new mbp since second generation died (truly sad!) , have decided start keeping better records of contacts. want start using ical , address book family can keep better track of each other we'll synced up. have managed mess around bit , solve of issues, due wordiness, question has been difficult locate in previous posts.

keep lot of personal info on our computers (i.e. warranty dates, when things have been purchased, passwords) , had in past stored them in outlook. we'd make contact , store info in it. not best method, if there's better way, feel free throw @ me can avoid whole issue.

anyways, i've updated contacts on mbp , synced iphone via icloud. great! however, don't want every "contact" in address book synced iphone.

here's question: there way create group in address book, stays on computer , not synce icloud while still having phone contacts stay synced icloud?

ATV3 5.1 channel ?

no service after redsnow jailbreaking
