A strange keyboard story

hello everyone,

first time post here, , i've come tell strange story happened me today , seek advice. please pardon clumsy english, i'm not native speaker.

live in france. today, friends lithuania came visit me. have macbook pro bought in lithuania through friend. asked me them keyboard problem had. realized keyboard layout misconfiguration issue, , tried fix setting right layout.

thing got strange : couldn't identify layout. german layout ("@" on "l" key, german "double s" right next "0") except it's qwerty keyboard (the german layout qwertz).

after tinkering while keyboard layout setting menu , browsing apple support database, decided call applecare.
first technician not figure out more could, contact level 2 support. not figure out either, , when talked again first technician had spoken with, asked him if mistake made in factory built in. answered me unlikely , advised me sell machine on auction site collector's item if case.

transfered me technician, asked me send him pictures of unidentifiable keyboard, did.

called me : using mbp's serial number, determined machine custom made machine. person ordered asked german keyboard, machine configured german keyboard there mistake, , "y" , "z" keys had been mistakenly switched.

here's story. don't know if common seemed strange me, , i've spoken @ apple support surprised , amused, thought i'd share.

now, here's seeking advice part : think apple tech guy right opportunity auction weird-keyboarded mbp ?

is possible lift keys off , click them different positions? don't have mbp i'm not sure can on them, amuse myself rearranging keys on other laptops form rude words. might happened.

, think apple support guy may have been being sarcastic :p
