Resolved New (old?) iCloud mail setting for Snow Leopard as of July 1st

it seems apple has suddendly changed mind... these settings, mail on sl can icloud mail messages. servers older:

incoming: mail.me.com
outgoing: smtp.me.com

summarize:

older server apple mail on pre os 10.7 macs

servers generic email clients

automatic setup apple mail on lion macs
http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/mac.html

there exceptions, instance on androids , webos devices while incoming set old imap (mail.me.com), way send messages select nwe icloud smtp server (smtp.mail.me.com).

happening automatically? did icloud upgrade on second machine, browser based transition. ios devices updated fine, , sl based mbp using mail, still sends , receives me.com mail without mail setting changes.

ATV3 5.1 channel ?

no service after redsnow jailbreaking
