Problems with Installing Win 7 x64 on Macbook Pro 3,1 (2007)

first of all, hi.

background info:

macbook pro 3,1 15", 2.2 ghz, 4 gb ram, 128 ssd. lion 10.7.4 (11e53)

existing hardware issues: internal superdrive broken, original 120 gb hdd cloned carbon copy cloner 128 gb ssd (ocz octane sata ii)

problem:
wanted install windows 7 x64 using bootcamp. have upgrade dvd planning on using , installing using double install method. followed bootcamp assistant letter: downloaded , burnt support software (using external dvd burner), inserted windows dvd , partitioned ssd. os x restarted , chimes sounded.

stuck. apple logo shows cycles through folder ? in error symbol apple logo dvd drive spins. goes on while.
restart laptop , chimes , screen goes blank. few seconds later blinking line appears in top left corner dvd drive spins few seconds stops. blinking line continues without else happening.
if restart laptop out dvd drive attached, won't boot os x , instead says can't find boot drive. have reset using option-control-p-r automatically boot os x.

have tried full version of win 7, same thing happens.

have idea missing or if has tips or tricks me work.

in advance, tom
