Early 2011 MBP

so, purchased 2011 mbp. know, know, refresh coming, previous laptop died , needed school. also, got 2.2ghz 15" on sale , didn't have pay sales tax, saved more money.

anyways, have question battery life. machine came lion , have upgraded 10.7.3. have installed gfxcardstatus , put integrated mode. battery life seems lower should be, although i'm not sure if battery needs used bit calibrate itself.

example, i'm @ 87% battery life , estimates 2 hours remaining (though jumps down 1 hour 30 minutes remaining , again every few minutes). downloading large file on wifi, bluetooth turned off, , screen brightness @ 30-40%.

question is: battery need "broken in" calibrated? or possible needs fixed? have read people reset smc , cleared issues, though seems machine hasn't been out of it's box 24 hours yet, shouldn't necessary. perhaps there's can adjust increase battery life? in linux/windows, have processor automatically down clock improve battery life on old netbook, that's happening i'm not sure check.

first mac , far it's been nice experience, i'd figure out how closer 7 hours advertised battery life.

there's explanation. "time remaining" based on usage @ instant.

no.
