Is Parallels useful for some Windows gaming on Mac?

i ordered new 27" imac 3.1 core i5 , radeon 6970m gpu. planning setup bootcamp on system run windows games such everquest 2.

however, have games i'd play don't run on windows 7, example original starcraft. far know runs wine , maybe try that. own diablo ii , warcraft iii , play on mac in whatever convenient way works well.

wondered if uses parallels games avoid bothering reboot windows, etc. support accelerated graphics? games play , why versus other alternatives?

own valid windows xp license use parallels part of wouldn't cost me anything. actually, have windows 7 since bought new copy of use bootcamp.

info whether parallels has uses @ times gaming or not.

for solitaire , minsweeper, absolutely. maybe pinball , or farmville. but, more seriously, though 3d has improved (a little bit) on parallels, it's support better video , aero glass effects. if game install, unusable. so, if needs modest (say, sims 3 or that), not going happen without bootcamp. wow might run, albeit slideshow.
