SSD in optical bay slot

so bought caddy put ssd in optical bay slot (mid 2010 13" mbp). did this, no problem, when booted took lot longer usual. not this, when supposedly booted up, looked should- login apps started (caffeine , smcfancontrol), external hdd showed on desktop , bluetooth magic mouse showed 'connected'. however, when moved trackpad, seemed normal would, until decide click on something, @ point unresponsive (i don't mean laggy or frozen, nor did beach ball appear), absolutely nothing happens.

after multiple attempts @ this, removed caddy , ssd inside it, replacing original superdrive. worked again.

checked , ssd used in caddy working fine, appears thing isn't caddy. think causing problem? caddy, or not doing correctly?

bought cheap caddy shouldn't, here if makes difference- http://www.amazon.co.uk/drive-caddy...s6/ref=sr_1_11?ie=utf8&qid=1342370335&sr=8-11

i'm using samsung 830's.

if it's caddy i'm sending , purchasing trusty owc data doubler should have done in first place.

wow, help.
