Experience with iPad 2 refurbs?

i know apple advertises refurbs of pristine quality, new, shipped in cardboard box. wondering kind of experience have buying refurbs, ipads apple. there potential 1 of these ipads returned due bad screen, maybe manufacturer didn't catch , boxed again? how scratches, if super small?

also, if buy refurb ipad 2 @ apple store in town, in non-labeled box or come new box?

 

it understanding can buy apple certified refurbs website. brown box refurbs in store exchange only, or if damage item out of warranty sell brown box refurb ($249 brown box vs $319 white box www.apple.com).

far experience ipad 2 refurbs, has been ok. first 1 got screen randomly type itself. restoring os did not fix problem. while happened twice in 3 days of ownership still happened. chances are, during refurb process technician couldn't replicate problem (since ipad returned in first place) went keeping screen , replacing shell , battery , shipping out. anyways, took care of me in store despite being unable replicate problem on spot. got brown box refurb means keep charger , documentation first one. getting refurb defective rare, apple goes extremely length make sure not functional, cosmetically perfect. feel more work goes refurbishing product producing it, since refurb products 100% inspection , regular production gets level inspection, or in other words "parts per lot" inspection. it's referred frequency inspection. regardless of call it, means not every product inspected...they sample lot.

replacement ipad working fine. both units cosmetically perfect since entire outer shell replaced. that's in refurb policy stated on website. standard 1 year warranty , comes documentation , charger. have opportunity buy applecare+ (which did)

ipad 2 16gb wifi $319 1 heck of deal if ask me. hard part isn't deciding buy it, catching when they're in stock. apple puts new stock every week or every other week, ipad 2 16gb wifi refurbs go out of stock within same day or so. shipping insanely quick standard, took longer process order , put on plane did actual shipping time itself.
