Battery Cycle Retina Macbook Pro

this dumb question, i've googled no avail.

i've read advice , how care macbook battery, i'm still confused 1 thing:

battery cycle? how defined?

thought battery cycle charged - depleted - charged again. however, on receiving retina macbook pro yesterday , charging once, i'm on 2 cycle counts. read somewhere 1 guy had regular macbook pro on 48 cycles after 14 months. want he's doing haha!
 

a battery cycle full charge , discharge cycle. 4 discharges/charges 100% 75% cycle. 2 discharges/charges 100% 50% cycle. etc.

ATV3 5.1 channel ?

no service after redsnow jailbreaking
