Swapped New MBA 13 for MBP 13

howdy y'all,

unsure macbook get. last macbook had 2006 black macbook, stolen in 2007. read @ least hundred reviews of each 1 , settled on 13 inch macbook air 256 ssd. enjoyed form factor few days, having serious doubts upgradeability usefulness of optical drive. held many reviews , people stating how crazy buy current crop of classic mbp's. couldn't justify price of ssd when going have buy external well, along sort of external optical drive. people online acted air's screen better it's higher resolution. far can tell less reflective , gave little more screen real estate.

decided take awesome macbook air , got base mbp 13''. realize how faster ssd think fine me @ point. decided try out few days see if worth switching mba. needing school online - business major. wife , having baby know we'll mess iphoto , of other goodies included in ilife.

i'm pretty happy far mbp wanted give input should there in similar situation.

have experience same decision or similar? big decision me , want make sure i'm gonna happy next few years. either way sure happy on mac!:d

the current mbp's excellent machines. when can afford can install own ssd regain speed accustomed air. prices of ssd's have declined drastically , can find 256 gb version around $185 or less. there online videos show how make upgrade. if storage becomes issue, , find can without odd, can replace odd hdd replaced ssd. opted 15" mbp , installed own ssd , additional ram. i've been pleased decision , haven't looked back. although don't use odd having option of changing out in future if desire. think pleased decision well.
