MacBook Pro horrific grinding noise?

hi, have macbook pro running on os x 10.6.8. (not sure whether that's relevant)

(about 2 days ago) on mac, when made horrid sound, way can describe chainsaw or lawnmower within mac, on right side. me, sounded either fan or disk drive. did have disk in @ time ejected disk, noise continued , disk came out fine. manually shut computer down. in 5 minutes making noise, computer continued run fine though making horrid noise??? noise stopped after shut down computer...

decided leave , see if did again, , evening using 2/3 hours without doing once again? searched on internet problem, , had saw videos people had uploaded of doing it. people said after few months of happening mac died. not want happen...

anyway, since have re-opened mac twice , loaded up/ took off of sleep , has made strange noise both times, sounds coming disk drive? makes usual disk noise when starting up, makes kind of quiet/ medium sounding grinding noise? stops after 20 seconds. mac runs fine.

don't know do, because makes strange quiet grinding sound , it's fine, @ same time don't want ignore result in worse. , it's done since chainsaw noise other day, i'm presuming it's linked.

got mac @ christmas present, shouldn't doing after 6/7 months of use. take apple, tell me things need replaced maybe when don't, , charge me stupid prices :/ wanted second opinion of whether potentially machine-ruining or not?

if read of , understood rambling, thanks!

if had 6-7 months, take apple. take care of under apple care.
