Best place to buy a rMBP and applecare question...
i'm starting graduate school in little on month , need buy new laptop. old 1 wasn't apple , last 3 years freezes/crashes time. sister has macbook , has had 0 problems hers i've pretty decided i'm going apple. since student education discount , want @ least 15" screen , 8 mb of ram. rmbp $200 more dollars cheapest 15" ram upgrade makes sense go one.
questions are...
1. think should rmbp from? should apple $1999 , $100 itunes giftcard (that won't use), best buy if can them price match , give me $100 best buy gift card (that can use buy superdrive) or there someplace else better deal don't know of.
2. heard somewhere if buy applecare discover card adds year onto 4 years instead of 3. can't seem find proof of though know if true? also, thoughts on squaretrade warranty instead?

you should buy through university, if ra/ta or have other departmental duties grad student. university of illinois has apple reseller store on campus (where deals typically better @ actual store). many universities/colleges/departments have contracts/incentives companies such apple.
@ route first... if not option, use other best deal through thread.
