i know, know, guys dozens of types of threads every week. , every post claim story different last.
post no different. i, too, make claim situation snowflake.
okay, have 2008 imac. it's little on 4 years old, , frankly, i'll happy bad boy until @ least next year, since machine continue supported mountain lion.
however. going school computer science. commuting student, , have couple of long gaps between class. work. i'm quite busy, can see.
previously, have stuff math classes , stuff take care of sans computer. however, becoming less , less true time goes on.
need make wise use of time gap. going way home, going school out of question.
hauling imac there work on is, too, laughably out of question.
, hence i'm thinking of buying laptop accomplish this. need programming, speed demon, not need be.
@ home, buy external display, keyboard , mouse, whole shizbang, use macbook air desktop. maybe 2 displays, because i'm bad that.
so... should i? other options: a) without (jerk off during gap, , work on assignments when i'm home), b) buy cheapest clunker of pc laptop find keep me afloat year, or c) find way program on ipad (yeeeeah right).
tl;dr: got 2008 imac. considering replacing 11" macbook air+kvm program when @ school.
if planing have external monitors, practically eliminated biggest downfall having 11 inch main comp. golden id say.
