OpenGL Flickering issue (programming)


i've ported opengl music visualizer built windows on mac.

know might make people jump blaming on porting, hear me out - code system independent, that's not issue.

project uses: opengl, boost libraries (multithreading, etc.) , fmod. got running, noticed seems flicker lot on high-action/high-refresh moments.

here's weird part: if put mouse/cursor on mac's dock/toolbar, , osx uses magnify effect, of sudden framerate on program skyrockets, , flickering disappears entirely!

leads me believe os isn't going sort of graphics-mode , gpu ( , maybe cpu, too) not running program. else triggers it, graphics fine.

make sense in way? has experience that, or otherwise have ideas solution (other telling people park cursors while program runs lol)?

i think beamsync why you're seeing behavior. have vsync on?
